I went TROUT fishing with spinners in a dirty creek! The creek was dirty from recent rains. Dirty and stained water can be a good thing for trout fishermen. The trout are less cautious and alert because they cannot see as well. It makes sneaking up on them much easier. When the water is stained or dirty, the trout cannot see your lure as well either. Sometimes this makes them less picky. In dirty water, I like to use lures that are dark in color, noisy and flashy. The Fish Hawk spinner is perfect because it is black in color, the spinner blade creates a lot of flash and the bead body rattles. The weather was not so great for trout fishing. It was bright and sunny with no clouds. Sunny conditions and clear skies are not good for fishing. The sunny conditions warm the water and cast shadows on it. If trout see a moving shadow, they will hide and be on high alert. Always keep a mental note of where your shadow is so that it doesn’t scare off the trout. I ended up having a productive day of trout fishing despite the not so great conditions. I caught some nice brown trout and some rainbow trout. All the trout I caught were on Fish Hawk spinners. Any day trout fishing is a good day!

I went trout fishing with spinners and trout magnets! I caught rainbow trout, brown trout and a surprise catch! I fished several different sections of the same creek. Fishing conditions were great! I had overcast skies and high temps of around 80F. The water conditions were great as well. The water was slightly stained and cool. This particular creek has lots of springs that feed into it which keep the water temp down. The Fish Hawk spinners worked great and when they didn’t, the Trout Magnets picked up the slack. I had a great day of trout fishing!
